Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital began its first consultations in February 2001. With the dignity of human life as our highest value, we are guided by the spirit of "Love of Humanity" instilled by our founder, the late Dr. Seokjo Seo, who dedicated his life to compassion and healing. For over 20 years, we have cared for patients and underserved populations both domestically and internationally, contributing to the advancement of healthcare services and the development of our local community.

Eight years after the establishment of the Bucheon Regional Emergency Medical Center, affiliated with Soonchunhyang University, it was promoted to a 'Tertiary General Hospital.' The center has achieved significant milestones, including the first successful pre-planned bloodless liver transplantation in Korea, ranking second in regional emergency medical center evaluations, and being the fastest to perform over 100 Da Vinci Xi robotic surgeries. Additionally, it has consistently ranked first in patient satisfaction and was designated as the first COVID-19 base hospital among tertiary general hospitals.

Since 2009, we have operated an International Medical Cooperation Team dedicated to facilitating medical exchanges and the treatment of foreign patients. Our hospital is particularly committed to providing seamless, professional care, drawing on extensive databases built over many years with patients from Russia, Central Asia, and Mongolia. Robot Surgery Center: Advanced robotic technology is utilized for various procedures in urology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, thoracic surgery, and otolaryngology. For patients requiring robotic surgery, we offer 1 on 1 consultations with a nurse for detailed information about the surgical method and addressing any questions. This patient-centered approach ensures customized services to meet an individual's needs.

Urology: We specialize in treating a range of conditions, including prostate cancer, kidney cancer, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, bladder cancer, pyeloplasty, and bladder exstrophy.

Obstetrics and Gynecology: We specialize in the treatment of various conditions, including endometrial cancer, cervical cancer, uterine fibroids, uterine prolapse, ovarian cysts, adenomyosis, and advanced gynecological cancers.

Cardiothoracic Surgery: We specialize in the treatment of various conditions, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, esophageal tumors, mediastinal tumors, and mediastinal cancer.

Otolaryngology: We specialize in the treatment of thyroid cancer, head and neck cancer, and benign tumors of the neck.

Pancreatic and Biliary Center: Renowned for world-class diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic, biliary, and gallbladder diseases, our center provides exceptional medical care both domestically and internationally. Our team of specialists, with extensive clinical experience and notable research achievements, utilizes cutting-edge endoscopic technology and highly skilled techniques to deliver the highest standard of care. We perform advanced endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and biliary endoscopy. To ensure effective and timely treatment, we have established a collaborative system with surgery, radiology, pathology, and therapeutic radiology departments. For complex cases such as pancreatic, biliary tract, and sacral cancers, a specialized cancer nursing system provides tailored, high-quality care and optimal treatment to meet each patient's needs.
