- Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital (CNUHH) is a globally recognized cancerspecialized hospital, selected one of the “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals” in the oncology field for four consecutive years by Newsweek. Gamma Knife surgery, utilizing cutting-edge radiation technology, is a non-invasive surgical method that precisely targets and eradicates lesions without the need for conventional cranial incisions. These include over 15,000 cases of diagnostic endoscopy, more than 4,000 cases of endoscopic tumor resection, over 600 cases of submucosal dissection for esophageal lesions, over 200 cases of submucosal dissection for colorectal lesions, over 200 cases of digestive stent placement, over 1,500 cases of pancreaticobiliary endoscopy, and more than 1,600 cases of abdominal ultrasound and liver fibrosis assessment. CUNHH has achieved remarkable milestones, particularly in submucosal dissections for esophageal, gastric, and colorectal tumors, with cumulative numbers of 140, 7,000, and 1,300 cases respectively.
