Gamma Knife surgery, utilizing cutting-edge radiation technology, is a non-invasive surgical method that precisely targets and eradicates lesions without the need for conventional cranial incisions. This approach selectively concentrates high-energy gamma rays on the pathological site, preserving the integrity of surrounding healthy brain tissue. Moreover, this procedure is characterized by its minimal invasiveness, devoid of blood loss, and remarkably short hospitalization period, often lasting only one to two days. It offers a viable treatment option for elderly patients or those with compromised overall health. Notably, patients can promptly resume their daily activities, including work, following the treatment. Furthermore, the advantages extend to cancer patients, who can commence adjuvant cancer therapies as early as the day after undergoing Gamma Knife surgery. Analyzing statistical data on Gamma Knife surgeries reveals a discernible upward trajectory in the management of metastatic brain tumors originating from various organs, such as lung and breast cancer. These findings signify both enhanced prognostic outcomes and an increasing prevalence of Gamma Knife surgery as a vital therapeutic modality for cancer patients. -
