Perfusion

Goal

Training on basic theories and techniques of the Extra-Corporeal circulation(CPB & ECMO)
Duration

More than 6 months (program duration may vary)
Eligibility

A thoracic surgeon, nurse in cardiac surgery unit (intensive care unit) with at least 3 years of hospital experience
Curriculum
- - Behavior in the operating room (hygiene regulations, sterile area)
- - Workflow in the operating room during cardiovascular procedures in total
- - heart-lung machine operation(Preparation, Priming, Settings)
- - Initiation of cardiopulmonary bypass
- - Blood gas analysis and anticoagulation measurement
- - Reaction on change of parameters during cardiopulmonary bypass
- - Handling of the heart- Iung machine during the procedure

Radiation Oncology

Goal

The program aims to cultivate global talents equipped with the qualities of professionals through training based on the basic concepts and foundational theories of radiation therapy. Through this program, participants gain a deep understanding and practical skills in radiation therapy, strengthening their ability to actively engage in the global healthcare environment.
Duration

6 months
Eligibility

Applicants must possess a radiologic technologist license from their home country
Curriculum
- - Theoretical and practical training for each part according to the workflow
- - 1. Oncological theory
- - 2. CT Simulation
- - 3. Radiation therapy theory (general and special)
- - 4. Linear accelerator
- - 5. Brachytherapy techniques
- - 6. Computer treatment planning

Post-Anesthesia Care Unit(PACU)

Goal

Understand and observe the preparation and procedures for anesthesia during liver transplant surgery
Duration

2 to 4 weeks (program duration may vary)
Eligibility

A registered nurse in an overseas medical institution or a nursing faculty who is proficient in Korean or English
Curriculum
- - Preparation and procedure for anesthesia(liver transplant surgery)
- - Preparation and use of anesthetic materials and medications

Ward

Goal

Understand and observe pre- and post-operative nursing care for ward patients based on the type of surgery. Experience infection control, patient safety activities, and pain management for ward patients
Duration

2 to 4 weeks (program duration may vary)
Eligibility

A registered nurse in an overseas medical institution or a nursing faculty who is proficient in Korean or English
Curriculum
- - Ward infection control, fall prevention/pressure ulcer prevention
- - Common perioperative nursing for adults
- - Preoperative and postoperative care, Complication managemen
- - Patient education for surgeries by specialty (Available areas: orthopedic surgery, ENT surgery ect.)
